On St. Georges Day 2011 we launched the Must Be British Shout Out to showcase British Food, and encourage the Pubs, Cafes & Restaurants of the UK to support our farmers and boost local economies by committing to serve us the best of British produce during the Olympics.

Hundreds of you agreed that you wanted to see “British-grown food EVERYWHERE during the Olympics!” and signed this pledge to add your voice and make the Shout Out even louder!

We’ve been making noise on Twitter using the #MustBeBritish hash-tag to call for people to support British food and farming during the Olympics. We blog about the food issues around the 2012 Olympics and encourage other people to spread the Must Be British message and images in their own blogs and in the press.

If you agree that it Must Be British, you can help encourage pubs, cafes and restaurants you know to feature meals using ingredients that have been grown, reared or produced in Britain for the duration of the Olympic & Paralympic Games.

We’ve made these images easy to take from our links page to help spread the message… so please feel free to use them however you want and add your name to the pledge, to make the Shout Out even louder!!!
